Some of the titles that we played on previous-generation consoles have made their way to our new gaming machines as “remastered” versions. Not only did this allow the game developers to make more money it gave gamers a chance to play these titles on newer hardware, particularly those who had not played them on old consoles. Resident Evil is one such title that’s coming to the PlayStation 4. Its pre-orders have gone live on the PlayStation Network with support for cross-buy.

Cross-buy is an added bonus if you happen to have two consoles because it eliminates the need, and the expenditure, to purchase the same title on both consoles.

Capcom has confirmed that PS4 and PS3 versions of Resident Evil Remastered will support cross-buy. This means that if someone purchases this title on the PS3 they won’t have to pay for it again on the PS4, and vice versa.

That’s not all. Resident Evil Remastered will come with an exclusive theme for the PlayStation 4 which will be available for pre-load before this game is due for release in 2015. Since the title is pre-load supported it can be downloaded before it goes live, allowing gamers to play it immediately after the game is officially “out.”

Resident Evil Remastered will be released for PS4, PS3, Xbox One Xbox 360 and PC on January 20th, 2015.
