Razer Seiren Announced – A Microphone Designed For Streamers

razer seirenRazer is known for creating gaming peripherals that are used by gamers around the world, including computer mice, keyboard, headphones, Bluetooth speakers, and so on. Well it looks like Razer wants in on the streaming business because the company has recently announced the Razer Seiren.

According to Razer’s CEO Min-Liang Tan, it seems that the Seiren has been out for a while and used by streamers on Twitch and YouTube, but it is only now that they have decided to make it official. “Some of you may have noticed that the top streamers and YouTubers out there have been streaming behind a black card to hide the Seiren for the past couple of months – but the secret is now out!”

The Seiren features an anodized aluminum body and will feature an LED-lit Razer logo. It features three 14mm condenser capsules and will respond to frequencies ranging from 20Hz to 20kHz. It has a sensitivity of 4.5mV/Pa at 1kHz and a maximum SPL of 120dB. The microphone will also feature a built-in headphone amplifier for those who might need to attach a pair of headphones for monitoring.

There will also be a filter sold separately that helps to reduce hisses and pops made when certain words are spoken. The Razer Seiren is priced at $179.99 for the microphone only, or $229.99 that includes the shock mount and pop filter.
