OnePlus has not issued any official statement as at press time, but it does seem at the moment that the OnePlus One will be making its way to Russia, the land where the online Apple Store had to cease sales of its products due to the extremely volatile nature of its currency fluctuations that tended to go in the downward direction. Well, it seems that the OnePlus One has received the nod of approval by Rostest Moscow, which is the very same agency charged with testing selected equipment and products in the country.
OnePlus did kick off a “Hello Russia” thread earlier this August on the OnePlus forum, where it did seem to be too obvious of a clue to roll out their handset in that part of the world. In the initial thread, OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei stated, “It’s an enormous market, where we also know the rules are a bit different. Right now, Russia is really mysterious to us. With your help, we’d like to learn more.”
OnePlus has continued to set its eyes on the horizon for new markets to explore and expand their OnePlus One distribution, never mind that speculation abounds concerning a possible sequel to their flagship smartphone. We look forward to the OnePlus One’s availability elsewhere – how about you?
