About a couple of months ago, it was confirmed that the Google Nexus 6 handset would be making its way onto Verizon, although a specific release date was not provided. Well the good news for Verizon customers who are looking to stick with the carrier instead of jumping ship to the likes of AT&T, T-Mobile, or Sprint, rumor has it that Verizon’s Nexus 6 release date has been pegged for the 13th of December.
This is according to a recent post on Reddit in which the poster claimed to have talked to Verizon staff. Apparently the staff informed the poster that the Nexus 6 will be seeing a release on the second Saturday of the month which makes that the 13th of December. This is a little odd as Verizon has typically favored the release of devices on Thursdays, not Saturdays.
However it is possible that Verizon could be changing up their release date, so the 13th of December release is not a complete stretch of the imagination. Alternate possibilities include the original post was simply posted as a rumor, or that the Verizon staff might have provided the wrong information.
In any case we’ll be keeping our eyes and ears peeled for its release, so do check back with us at a later date for the details. Alternatively you could always pick up the device directly from Google unlocked for $650.
