Earlier this morning, we did talk about how dozens of banks and retailers have already signed up for Apple Pay – with NBA franchise Orlando Magic being one of them. Well, here we are with additional details concerning Orlando Magic’s adoption of Apple Pay. Orlando Magic plays over at the Amway Center, where it will soon be the first arena in the entire NBA to accept Apple Pay. In other words, you will be able to make purchases using your iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch – never mind the fact that the Apple Watch has not been released just yet.
Making mobile payments via Apple Pay will kick off with this Friday’s home game as the Orlando Magic takes on the Utah Jazz. This particular program has come about after the partnership between the Orlando Magic, Chase bank and Levy Restaurants. If you happen to use your Chase card in order to fork out money for a transaction within the arena with Apple Pay as the mode of payment, you will be in the running to receive exclusive offers and win prizes.
Orlando Magic has always been pretty fast in adapting new mobile technologies, and this use of Apple Pay is another step in the right direction. With Apple Pay in full swing this Friday at the Amway Center, are you looking forward to the next Orlando Magic home game?
