Microsoft’s Low End Lumia 330 Spotted

Before the deal with Microsoft was closed, Nokia launched the X series which were smartphones powered by Android. The program didn’t get much attention when Microsoft finally completed its purchase of Nokia’s devices and services division, nevertheless the Nokia X lineup was considered as the entry point for people into the Windows Phone ecosystem, despite the fact that it ran a heavily forked version of Android. Now Microsoft is apparently looking to come back into the low-end smartphone market, with the WP-powered Lumia 330.

As per a Chinese publication, the rumored RM-1069 model that was recently certified by authorities in Vietnam, is going to be called the Microsoft Lumia 330. It is said to be the first device from a brand new lineup of low-end Windows Phone smartphones.

A picture of the purported Lumia 330 has appeared online as well. It looks very much similar to the Lumia 520, accompanying dimensions come in at 118.1mm x 64.7mm.

No specifications have been made public as yet. It is speculated that the smartphone is going to have a 4-inch display with 800×480 pixel resolution, and dual-SIM support. Microsoft hasn’t said anything about an upcoming low-end Lumia smartphone so it is unclear right now if and when this device will be released, particularly in markets like North America and Europe.
