We have received confirmation that the folks over at Microsoft will be holding an event on its campus early next year – January 21st, to be exact, in order to talk about the upcoming Windows 10 operating system that will hopefully see more people flock to it than the relatively lukewarm reception that Windows 8 received when it was first revealed. It is said that this particular event will be an all-day affair, so more details will be shared only on that day itself – although it certainly does not hurt to have some leaks on the event revealed prior, right?
Of course, if you are physically unable to make your way there, there is always the option of streaming the event live – and it will include presentations from Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Terry Myerson and Joe Belfiore, and Phil Spencer. With all the big guns of Microsoft going up on stage, you can be pretty sure that there will be plenty to look forward to t the event.
It might be known as the January Technical Preview, but time will tell. Alternatively, it could also be part of a new release cycle where the company will push out a new release every month, if all goes smoothly. We have no idea on the kind of topics that will be covered, but fingers crossed that Windows Phone and Windows RT will be getting some love.
