That being said, the company has recently taken the wraps off its first Yu-branded device in the form of the Yureka. The phone has been priced at around $142, making it a highly affordable handset, not to mention it packs some relatively decent specs under its hood as well. The phone will feature a 5.5-inch 720p HD display and will be powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset.
It will have 2GB of RAM accompanying it and 16GB of onboard storage, a microSD card slot for memory expansion, a 13MP rear-facing camera with LED flash, a 5MP front-facing camera, and a 2,500mAh battery. The phone will also sport LTE connectivity and dual-SIM capability, so like we said it’s actually pretty decent for its price.
The phone will be available exclusively from Amazon India starting 19th of December. In the meantime OnePlus’ handsets have since been banned from India as Micromax is claiming exclusivity in their deal with Cyanogen.
