zuckerberg-challenge

Mark Zuckerberg is a man who needs no introduction. The billionaire founder and CEO of Facebook has a very strong online following which he is putting to some good use today. Zuckerberg wants people to help him out with his New Year’s resolutions, which in the past have included “challenges” like learning to speak Mandarin and wearing a tie every day. He’s using Facebook for this purpose, for pretty obvious reasons.

In a public post on his Facebook profile today Zuckerberg said that he is “crowdsourcing ideas for my next year’s personal challenge.” He then provides some background what this really means. Every year Zuckerberg takes on a challenge to learn something about the world beyond his work at Facebook, and to “broaden my perspective.”

He had first floated the idea of crowdsourcing his next challenge during Facebook’s last town hall Q&A when someone asked him what his challenge for 2015 is going to be. Zuckerberg is doing just that through his Facebook profile.

As of this writing the post has gathered some 100,000+ likes, over 40,000 comments and nearly 3,000 shares. It is safe to say that Zuckerberg is going to receive a lot of recommendations, some of which may not be entirely helpful, but hey that’s to expect when you reach out to the internet for help.
