Good things do come to those who wait after all, and what looked and felt like an eternity has finally come to a halt – it seems that the Lumia Denim update has finally arrived, and it will not be confined to just China alone as we talked about not too long ago, but it will be a worldwide release this time around, as it encompasses Europe and the second most populous country in the world, India.
The Lumia Denim update that made its appearance in China did target a few select handsets, but since then, we have also read about how those living in Europe too, are able to enjoy the Lumia Denim update – even on the lower end and older devices. It seems as though the Lumia 520, Lumia 625, Lumia 530 and the phablet-sized Lumia 1320 happen to be the main devices that will pick up the Denim update, although there are also other handsets that will be on the receiving end.
It makes perfect sense to roll out such a major update for the lower end segment of phones, since that happens to be Windows Phone’s bread and butter, and it is not a smart move to malign your broadest market base, right? However, higher end devices like the Lumia 1020 and the Lumia 925 too, are beginning to receive update notifications.
