I do not suppose that it is a no-brainer when you happen to have a set-top box to go alongside your spanking new TV, it would also mean you might want to check out some live TV in the process, right? So far, the folks over at Google have more or less remained mum concerning Android TV’s live capabilities, although we have been alerted to the presence of a spanking new app from Google that has made its way in the Play Store today. This particular app is known as “Live Channels for Android TV”, where it weighs in at 5.2MB and will require Android 5.0 Lollipop and above to run.
Right now, this app does not look as though it will amount to much, as it cannot be opened on Android TV at the moment. Apart from that, there has been no talk about watching traditional TV on the Nexus TV website, and neither have we caught whiff of any kind of accessories that could very well enable you to obtain a TV signal straight to your device. However, to see “Live Channels for Android TV” make an appearance is an encouraging sign that all of the mention, if not most of them, will arrive soon.
