Kodak is probably a name that most of you guys would associate with imaging products, like cameras, film, and we guess to a certain extent even photo printers. They are not necessarily a brand that one would associate with mobile devices, but it looks like that could change soon. The company has recently announced a partnership with the Bullitt Group where both companies will work together to showcase new Android devices at CES 2015.
Unfortunately at this point in time save for the announcement itself, not much is known about Kodak and Bullitt’s upcoming products. However according to a statement made by Oliver Schulte, the CEO of Bullitt Mobile, “Kodak is one of the world’s most recognisable brands. It is trusted by consumers as a marque of quality and innovation. We’ve taken that heritage and used it to inspire a range of beautifully designed devices that will let users take great pictures and edit, share, store and print them in an instant.”
CES 2015 is where both companies are expected to unveil a 4G LTE Android smartphone, and given Kodak’s experience in the imaging industry, we could be looking at a phone where the emphasis is placed on the camera. However both companies are also expected to launch a tablet and a connected camera in the second half of 2015, but for now CES 2015 might only see the launch of the smartphone first.
In any case with CES 2015 taking place in early January 2015, we guess we only have a few weeks to go until all is revealed, so be sure to check back with us then for the details!
