According to a report from Kotaku Australia, Kmart has recently confirmed that they too will be removing the game from their stores. In a statement released to the website, “Following a significant review of all content in Grand Theft Auto Games Kmart has taken the decision to remove this product immediately. Kmart apologises for not being closer to the content of this game.”
However As Kotaku Australia points out, both Kmart and Target are owned by the same retail group in Australia, Wesfarmers, so there is a chance that Wesfarmers is simply looking to cover all their bases by applying the removal of Grand Theft Auto V from all of their retailers that might sell video games as well.
However like we said, there are still alternative channels in which gamers can get the game from if not from either of these two retailers, so fret not if you’re in Australia and you’re trying to figure out where to get your hands on the game. In the meantime do you agree with Target and Kmart in their decision to remove the game?
