Indiegogo is a popular website used by people for their crowdfunding efforts. Even though it has been around for quite some time, the team behind Indiegogo has taken a lot of time to release mobile applications. The first native iPhone app arrived for users in Canada back in July, and was later released for other countries around the world. An Android version had been missing, but that changes today.
The official Indiegogo app has finally landed on Android. Users will be able to access favorite and recommended topics, apart from being able to explore projects by category and project expiration date.
A search function within the app lets users find out any particular project that they might be interested in. Share functionality is built-in so sharing projects with friends and family doesn’t require more than a couple of taps. Features aren’t just limited to project discovery. Users will be able to access their profile and list of contributions made to various projects.
Even though Indiegogo took its time in delivering the Android application, at least it beat Kickstarter to the punch. The crowdfunding website has had an app for iOS out for over a year but still hasn’t released one for Android yet.
