When it comes to the world of tablets which run on the Windows operating system, it is not too far off the mark to say that choices available to the masses more or less remain rather limited as opposed to Android-powered tablets. While HP does offer a fair number of affordable Windows tablets at the moment, such as the HP Stream 7 and the HP Stream 8, it seems that there is something which is a little bit more upmarket for everyone – the HP Pro Tablet 408.
As its name suggests, the HP Pro Tablet 408 happens to be an 8” Windows tablet that will boast of more memory, come equipped with a better and bigger camera, alongside support for digital pen input. It must be said that the HP Pro Tablet 408 made its way over to the FCC recently, not to mention a specifications sheet making an appearance discreetly on the HP website.
Pricing details remain to be seen, but you will get an 8” IPS touchscreen display with 10-point multitouch at 1280 x 800 pixel resolution, running on an Intel Atom Z3736F Bay Trail processor, equipped with 2GB RAM, 32GB or 64GB of eMMC storage, a microSDXC memory card slot, an 8MP rear camera with auto-focus and flash, a 2MP fixed-focus front camera, WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, a 4,800mAh battery, dual stereo speakers, a micro HDMI output and WiDi wireless display support.
