The EliteBook range of notebooks have certainly made their fair share of appearances in the past, and as for the HP EliteBook 820 that was introduced late last year, it does look as though the device is due for an update or upgrade of sorts. Right now, we do know that the existing models of the 12.5” notebook would run on Intel Haswell processors underneath the hood, although it seems as though new models that will sport the more efficient Intel Broadwell processors are on the way. How do we know this? Well, there has been a listing of the HP EliteBook 820 G2 having appeared on the HP Malaysia website not too long ago.
The new models claim to boast of 5th generation Intel Core processors, in addition to vPro support on select models, options for HD or Full HD displays, as well as an optional touchscreen when it comes to the Full HD model. In addition, the HP EliteBook 820 G2 does seem to offer support of up to 16GB RAM alongside a couple of SODIMM slots, with HP also giving potential buyers the choice of picking between a 1TB of hard drive or having up to 256GB of solid state storage.
Additional hardware specifications point to an integrated Intel HD 5500 graphics chipset, a trio of USB 3.0 ports, DisplayPort and VGA, an Ethernet jack, an SDXC memory card reader, and support a docking connector for an optional docking station if you so desire.
