HP Chromebook 14 Gets Touchscreen Capability Now

It looks as though HP has been doing things on the quiet, where their Chromebook 14 which was launched not too long ago has a spanking new screen. Of course, with that, it would translate to a higher price point, where the more expensive updated version of the HP Chromebook 14 will provide users with the ability to enjoy a touchscreen Chrome experience, not to mention souped up hardware specifications along the way.

What else can you find underneath the hood? For starters, there is 4GB RAM, an NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor, and a 14″ diagonal FHD WLED-backlit touchscreen display alongside a resolution of 1920 x 1080. HP claimed that this particular model would feature 16GB of internal memory and sport a $429.99 sticker price at first, but it seems that this was not the decision taken at the end, where the HP Chromebook 14-x050nr will come with a hefty 32GB of internal memory instead, while the price has gone up by a little to $439.

Connectivity options of the HP Chromebook 14 include 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, a pair of USB 2.0 ports, a solitary USB 3.0 port, an SD memory card slot, and HDMI out. Battery life is said to have been rated at 8.5 hours of non-stop use, although you would probably find that mileage varies from one person to another, depending on the usage pattern.
