How does one right a wrong? Why, by making amends, of course – although an apology is certainly more than welcome. Apparently, those who have experienced the many issues that plagued the Halo: The Master Chief Collection launch will be pleased to hear that they will be on the receiving end of Halo 3: ODST for free – and why not throw in a new map into the mix too, right?
This is an early Christmas present by the folks over at Microsoft who have compensated gamers because their major title failed to work as expected at launch, and Microsoft is the latest in a line of game publishers to do so this year, after snafus involving Driveclub and Assassin’s Creed Unity were under the spotlight as well in 2014. However, the free Halo 3: ODST offering will come with content that will not be made available to anyone else at first.
Halo head honcho Bonnie Ross has insisted that there has been progress in fixing whatever issues which plagued The Master Chief Collection, and this week will mark the availability of all 10 episodes of Halo 4’s co-op campaign Spartan Ops in the game itself. Certainly, fans of this game ought to be pleased as punch that at the very least Microsoft is trying to ease their pain, right?
