It does look as though additional surface level options are worth the update alone, including the ability to add filters to your video whenever you happen to be in a Hangout video chat, or perhaps checking out the new “last seen” time stamp so that you know whether it is the right time to carry out a conversation with your friend or not.
In addition, Google also has what they call “smart suggestions”, which happens to be a feature that has made its way to other Google products thus far such as Gmail and Calendar. Arriving on Google Hangouts, the first smart suggestion that it delivers would be when you discuss a potential appointment with a friend, it will send a “share location” button in your direction so that you can inform the other party of your existing location. If you haven’t seen the Google Hangouts update arrive or made available just yet, please be patient – it is well on its way.
