It has come to our attention that high end models from Samsung ought to be on the receiving end of the Android 5.0 Lollipop update in the near future (which would mean some time in early 2015), and that would also include the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. However, it looks like Christmas has arrived early at least for one Galaxy Note 3 owner over in Vietnam who claims to have received the Android 5.0 Lollipop update over-the-air (OTA), leading such a situation to see questions such as “Is Samsung releasing the update earlier than expected?” and “Why Vietnam?”
Of course, Samsung could very well work on introducing the Android 5.0 Lollipop update in Vietnam before other countries, and in its quest to move on to other markets around the world, they might finally arrive at more mature segments some time early next year. Perhaps this is just a one-off error, or it could be a Photoshop job that is so good, it has more or less fooled a whole lot of people.
Still, I suppose most people, especially Samsung Galaxy Note 3 owners, would be looking forward to a release of the Android 5.0 Lollipop update on their respective handsets sooner rather than later. It is all about keeping up with the rest of the competition, baby!
