It seems that those who happen to live in the city of Houston, Texas, will now be able to check out the city’s very first Bitcoin ATM in the flesh. This Bitcoin ATM happens to “reside” in a city-owned building, where it is located within a convention center to be exact. Thanks to the folks over at Robocoin who are behind this Bitcoin ATM, which is operated by CoinVault, it will be open for business in downtown Houston’s George R. Brown Convention Center (GRB) located near the extremely popular Starbucks location.
CoinVault managed to secure what is deemed to be the world’s first-reported Bitcoin ATM located in a city-owned building, and GRB now has the standing to be the very first convention center that will offer access to digital currency, which is yet another signal that points in the direction of Bitcoin gaining mainstream adoption momentum.
There are also other Robocoin branches that have not ceased from launching domestically, namely in Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Phoenix, and Dallas, while other international “ports of call”, so to speak, are in the likes of Romania, The Netherlands, British Columbia and Italy. It does not matter if you are a newcomer to the world of Bitcoin – the Robocoin software makes it a snap to actually deposit cash and pick up a Bitcoin wallet in an instant.
