EVGA Unveils SuperNova 1600 T2 Titanium PSU For $450

When it comes to building your own PC, many of us go crazy over the chipset, GPU, RAM, cooling system, but sometimes people tend to forget or neglect their choice of PSU, which safe to say is a pretty important component. Choosing one that does not have enough power to run your system will result in a brand new PC that won’t turn on, or one that keeps shutting down when too much is happening.

That being said if you’re looking to build a monster of a rig, the folks at EVGA have something for you in the form of their new SuperNova 1600 T2 PSU. This PSU is rated at 1600W which is actually well beyond what most average computer users would need. Heck, a mid-range gaming rig probably won’t even come close to using all that power but hey, if you think you need it, go for it!

The SuperNova 1600 T2 boasts 80 Plus Titanium certification or 94% efficiency, which effectively gives it the highest 80 Plus certification as the other certifications such as Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Plus are below the 94% efficiency rating. The PSU will also come with modular cables so users won’t end up with leftovers that makes the insides of their case messy.

These cables include nine 8-pin connectors, five 6-pin PCIe connectors, and 16 SATA connectors. Sounds good? Well if you were thinking about getting one for yourself, be prepared to fork out $450 for it which includes a rather generous 10-year warranty.
