Elephone P6000 Runs On Android 5.0 Lollipop, Hails From China
In order for one to enjoy Android 5.0 Lollipop right out of the box at the moment, folks would have to pick up the Google Nexus 6, whose manufacturer happens to be Motorola. Well, it seems that such exclusivity has been “broken”, so to speak, by Elephone of China. This cute sounding company is a handset manufacturer that is based in the country that has the largest population count in the world, where the handset itself will be known as the Elephone P6000 – and with it, it arrives with Android 5.0 Lollipop in tow. Expect the Elephone P6000 to be introduced to the market there on December 27 for approximately $170 after conversion.
I would suppose that the release date itself would mean that there will be no early Christmas present for anyone interested in a Lollipop-powered handset. However, just as how one is able to make an intelligent guess at the kind of hardware specifications that a handset will carry based on its price, the P6000 looks set to be a mid-range device, where it will come with a 5” display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution, is powered by a 64-bit, quad-core MediaTek processor, has LTE and dual SIM support, a 13MP camera at the back with a 2MP selfie camera, 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal memory and a 2,700 mAh battery.
