Both of these mobile payment systems will be supported from Christmas Even onward, where Google Wallet will be available in “most stores, quick service restaurants, bars and ticket sales booths…any locations that use portable payment terminals, such as table service restaurants, will be added later.”
Google Wallet and Apple Pay would be part of the MyMagic+ RFID based system, where visitors can charge purchases made within one of the Disney parks, all the way directly to their Disney Resort hotel room. Sounds convenient, but it is also way too easy to get carried away with your purchases as opposed to a credit card, or better yet, cash in hand, since it is not difficult at all to lose track. The older Disneyland property in Anaheim, California, will see Apple Pay acceptance kick in sometime next year.
