According to Chrome OS advocated Francois Beaufort, he has recently announced via his Google+ page that the always-on feature has recently popped up in the Dev Channel for Chrome OS, and that users will be able to access the feature if they have the correct flag enabled and have your Chromebook unlocked.
Beaufort writes, “Try out the experimental new version of the “Ok Google” experience by toggling the chrome://flags/#enable-hotword-hardware flag. Restart your device, go to Chrome OS Settings and check “Enable “Ok Google” to start a voice search” to train your device to respond to the sound of your voice by saying three times “Ok Google”.”
Of course this is a feature that some users might find annoying as they’d rather not have search activated that easily, but for some who want to perform a quick search easily can do so just by saying the command words. So, what do you guys make of this feature?
