As far as audio products go Bose needs no introduction. The company has been a major player in this arena for quite some time but now it looks like Bose has its eye on something big, apparently its going to make the same move that Beats did. A job opening at Bose shows that the company is hiring talent which will be tasked with the development of its “next generation streaming music platform.”
The job opening for a senior user experience designer was first spotted by Hypebot. Whoever is hired will work under Bose’s “cloud music services group,” and will “lead design and prototyping” of the company’s aforementioned streaming music platform and “ecosystem of products.”
Bose will certainly be looking for people who have experience in this particular field, so a candidate who has previously worked at the likes of Spotify, Pandora or even Beats might have a good chance of nabbing this spot.
At this point in time it looks like Bose is in the very early stages of this project so it may take some time before a product is created that can actually be shared with the public. This is quite interesting to say the least, Bose possibly planning an entry in a already hotly contested market, so it will be interesting to see how this pans out.
