As BlackBerry fans might have heard by now, the BlackBerry Classic is expected to launch later this month and as it stands, pre-orders for the device have already gone live. Well it seems that things are certainly looking up for BlackBerry because according to reports, the BlackBerry Classic has already sold out of its pre-orders via Shop BlackBerry.
This is definitely a good sign and could be a prediction of things to come when the device actually goes on sale. The Classic, unlike the BlackBerry Passport, offers a more conventional and familiar design. It also features the toolbelt of buttons that legacy BlackBerry users are familiar with, with the main difference being its hardware and software.
Some have expressed their doubts about the Classic, but if selling out during its pre-order phase is any indication, those doubters might have made a mistake. Of course it remains to be seen exactly how many units BlackBerry can sell with the Classic, but things are looking good. In fact BlackBerry recently experienced success with the BlackBerry Passport as well.
The device had similarly sold out via BlackBerry’s website when it went on sale. Hopefully BlackBerry will have some numbers to share with us soon, but for those who missed the pre-orders, you can try your luck in the stores when it is released, or you can wait until January 2015 which is when BlackBerry expects the Classic to be restocked.
