Asus T100 Chi Spotted At WiFi Alliance
It was last year that the Asus Transformer Book T100 made a splash in the market, where it proved itself to be an inexpensive 2-in-1 tablet which could be “transformed” into a notebook whenever you take the step to attach a keyboard dock to it. The Transformer Book T100 back then came with a 10” display at 1,366 x 768 pixels resolution, running on an Intel Atom Bay Trail processor, and had a price tag that stayed within the range of $250 and $350. Well, it seems that Asus intends to expand upon that feature, by working on a premium model that has been spotted at the WiFi Alliance website this week. This device is known as the Asus T100 Chi.
Granted, very little else is known about the Asus T100 Chi, other than the fact that it is made by the folks over at Asus, where it will boast of dual-band 802.11n WiFi connectivity with Windows 8 as the operating system of choice.
Chances are the Asus T100 Chi will be a tablet in the 10” category, where it will be accompanied by a detachable keyboard. It remains to be seen, however, whether it will boast of a high resolution display or a Core M Broadwell processor, and neither do we know just when will it launch, but we would not be surprised at all should the Asus T100 Chi take a bow at CES next month in Las Vegas.
