This is according to a report from DigiTimes which claims that production of the laptop is expected to begin in the early part of the year. However this seems to contradict an earlier report which suggested that the 12-inch MacBook Air was already in limited production, but then again these are just rumors so they’re best taken with a grain of salt for now.
Unfortunately apart from a possible timeframe of the laptop’s mass production, not much else is known about the upcoming device, except that it could sport a new design that makes it even thinner than the current generation of MacBook Airs. We’re not sure what kind of specs we can expect, although some have speculated that Intel’s Broadwell chipset could make an appearance.
In any case if this is true, chances are we might learn about the new laptops at WWDC 2015, if not earlier, so be sure to check back with us at a later date for the details.
