yotaphone2Yota, the phone company from Russia, is all set to reveal their spanking new smartphone this coming December 3rd. The Yotaphone 2 will be the second dual-screen phone handset from Yota, and it does seem to come with a color display on one side, while on the other side lies an ePaper display. So far, it is interesting to note that with slightly more than a fortnight left to go for the Yotaphone 2’s official release, there has been virtually no detailed specifications leaked out just yet – although the image that you see above sure as heck looks like the prototype which was paraded earlier in the year.

The earlier prototype points to a 5” Full HD AMOLED display on one side of the handset, while the other has a 4.7” 960 x 540 pixel E Ink display. Both of them have touchscreen capability, alongside 2GB RAM, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 802.11ac WiFi, and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. Hopefully the final version that is made available in retail stores will have improved specifications – if it is possible, of course.

Since Yota happens to be based in Russia, it intends to sell its handsets in Europe as well as the Middle East, and it remains to be seen whether the Yotaphone 2 will make its way Stateside or not.
