There are several different smartwatches available in the market at the moment, and for the most part most of them look very geeky as opposed to elegant. This is fine if you’re not after that elegant look, but if you are, you’d probably have to go with the Moto 360. Well the good news is that if you remember the Withings Activite, you might be interested to learn that the watch is now open for pre-orders.
Now previously it had been thought that the watch would cost $390 which is admittedly rather pricey as far as smartwatches are concerned, but the bad news is that it won’t cost $390. Instead the Withings Activite smartwatch will set customers back $450 which you think would deter customers, but apparently not as pre-orders allocations have quickly sold out.
For those who might have missed our earlier report on the device, the Activite is a rather simple smartwatch. It features a sleek design that is reminiscent of a regular watch, but under the hood it will come with an array of sensors to track the number of steps you take, the amount of calories burnt, sleeping habits, distance traveled, and more.
Its sapphire face will also act as a touchscreen that lets users toggle between settings. It will also come with plastic bands for those who’d rather not get the leather bands dirty during rigorous activities. So, any takers?
