I suppose it is rather safe to say that the digital world does have its fair share of advantages, although there are always loopholes to exploit. With Windows Phone 8.1 having been around for some time already, are there any notable exploits in this mobile operating system? Apparently so, as XDA Developers hacker DJAmol realized that one could be able to replace the contents of a trusted OEM app which has been transferred over to the SD memory card, the app will then be on the receiving end of the privileges of the original app. When that happens, one can then delete its directly and creating a new directory under the very same name, and the 3rd party registry editor app will then gain full access to the Info and Settings in the app itself.
It is a relatively simple hack to implement, where all that one needs would be an app such as the Pocket File Manager, and it has been said that something like this should not have been overlooked by Microsoft. Thankfully, this hack has yet to reach the levels of being a full interop unlock, although it does seem to be a matter of time before that happens. Hopefully there will be a response from Microsoft’s part to prevent it from getting more serious, and pronto!
