Super Smash Bros. For Nintendo 3DS Passes 1 Million Units Sold Mark
Nintendo has always taken pride in releasing high quality first person titles where their consoles are concerned, be it a portable handheld device like the Nintendo 3DS, or the Nintendo Wii U that sits nicely in your living room. Well, most people were looking forward to Super Smash Bros. to be released for this generation of consoles, and chances are it is not a question of whether it would be a hit or not, but rather, how fast will that happen? Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS has just been declared to be the 10th Nintendo 3DS Game to sell a cool 1 million units.
This particular benchmark has been surpassed after being on the market only for slightly more than a month – selling 1.2 million copies in total after combining both physical and digital copies, and this is only in the U.S. alone. Of course, it does look as though the upcoming Pokémon adventures, namely Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, which will arrive on November 21st would most probably be able to provide this title with a strong challenge.
So far, Mario Kart 7 still remains at the top of the million plus selling Nintendo 3DS titles in the US, moving 3.62 million units to date, with Super Mario 3D Land being in second place at 3.34 million copies sold.
