The first Android Wear device from Sony would be the Sony SmartWatch 3, where it can now be purchased from the Google Play Store if you are interested to have something ‘smart’ hanging around your wrist, keeping you up to speed with your collection of emails and the ilk. The Sony SmartWatch 3 was first revealed at IFA 2014 earlier this year, where this sports-focused wearable timepiece did manage to turn some heads, thanks to its design in some part.
Those who are interested in picking up this piece of wearable technology can do so directly from Google for $249.99 a pop, which would clearly place it in direct competition to that of the Moto 360. The Sony SmartWatch 3 happens to be the fifth Android Wear-powered device that is in the Google Play Store, where it does include GPS and Wi-Fi capability – features that are not found in certain other models.
Other hardware specifications include a quad-core 1.2GHz ARMv7 processor, a 1.6” 320×320 display, IP68 certified water and dust proofing, 4GB of internal memory, 512MB RAM, NFC, GPS, and a 420mAh battery, which ought to keep it chugging along for a couple of days on a single charge. Would you be interested in picking this up over the other smartwatches in the market?
