Motorola unveiled its first Android Wear smartwatch earlier this year, called the Moto 360, many believe it to be the most beautiful smartwatch to have been released this year. Now that we’re heading into the new year it is only a matter of time before people start asking when a successor is going to be unveiled. If recent rumblings are to be believed then the second generation Moto 360 smartwatch might arrive by early 2015.
Reports coming out of Russia are attributing comments to Gleb Mishin, who heads the Eastern European branch of Motorola. Apparently he revealed during a press conference to Russian media that the second generation Moto 360 will arrive soon, and that it will have a “modified design,” will look “more like a watch” and its design will be more “beautiful.”
There has been no confirmation of these reported comments by Motorola so it would be best to take this with a grain of salt right now. Motorola, which was previously owned by Google, was recently acquired by Lenovo and now happens to be a fully-owned company of the Chinese giant.
It is also speculated in these reports that the second generation Moto 360 will go on sale shortly after it is unveiled. This is intriguing to say the least because it took many months for the Moto 360 to hit shelves after it was first unveiled earlier this year.
We’ll have to wait and see how this plays out, so far Motorola isn’t confirming or denying anything.
