Even though it has been less than a year since the Galaxy S5 came out many people are now asking what Samsung has in store for us next year. If its naming scheme continues the next flagship will certainly be called the Galaxy S6 but the important question is that whether it will be able to perform better in the market than Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S5? Samsung thinks its might provided that they develop the Galaxy S6 will a completely new vision.
Sammobile reports, citing unnamed sources, that the Galaxy S6 project is internally being referred to as “Project Zero.” Previous devices like the Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Note 4 were referred to as “Project K” and “Project T” internally when they were at the drawing board.
The report further claims that Samsung Galaxy S6 will be revealed in early 2015 and that it will be completely redesigned because that’s what Samsung wants in order to avoid a repeat of the seemingly unimpressive market performance of both previous flagships.
Since it is a bit early in the development stage the report says specifications and features haven’t been locked in as yet. However what it does say is that the Galaxy S6 is being developed “from scratch with an entirely new vision.”
What that vision will bring us remains to be seen. Samsung has tried its hand at making smartphones out of metal this year as well, like the recently launched Galaxy A series as well as the Galaxy Alpha, perhaps that might be incorporated in the next Galaxy S flagship as well, but as previously mentioned, it is too soon to say for sure right now.
We’ll keep an eye out for an updates regarding “Project Zero.”
