Thinner and lighter are two words that most OEMs use to describe their tablets, and that’s exactly the case with Dell’s refreshed version of the Venue 11 Pro. Last year this tablet was packing a Core i5 processor from Intel but given that it now has one of Intel’s new Core M chips, which allow it to be fanless, the tablet is indeed thinner and lighter than its predecessor.

Packing a 10.8-inch 1080p IPS display this tablet measures just 0.42-inch thick and weighs in at 1.62 pounds. As previously mentioned it is powered by Intel’s Core M chips so you have the option to choose between either a Core i3 or Core i5 series processor. There’s also the optional digitizer made by Synaptics for pen input.

Performance benchmarks have not come in as yet so it can’t be said for sure whether there are any noticeable differences in the performance of this model as compared to its predecessor. However the new processors aid in improving battery life, Dell promises up to 10 hours, plus you can add an additional 10 hours of juice by hooking the tablet up with the optional Mobile Keyboard.

Dell Venue 11 Pro starts at $699 for the base configuration that has 64GB of onboard storage, available options include 128GB and 256GB.
