Now presumably there will be still retailers who have stock left on the camera and will keep selling it until they run out, so if you’d rather not take the chance, perhaps it’s best that you move now! We can also assume that the discontinuation of its production also means that Olympus will be focusing on creating a successor to the camera.
There have been rumors that a successor to the camera is in the works back in September. The camera is said to be launched in the first week of February which is a little odd considering that CP+ is taking place in the middle of the month, so either they’re planning on unveiling the camera ahead of CP+ or the rumors got their dates wrong, but either way we’ll keep our eyes peeled.
