It seems that there are several Nexus 7 (2013) owners who are reporting that after the update, they are having some problems playing videos in the sense that videos won’t even load at all. For those who watch a lot of videos on their tablets, or even rely on their tablets to stream YouTube videos and whatnot, this is no doubt a pretty big deal.
Now there are some ways to overcome this issue, one of which involves turning the tablet off and then down to cycle through its power. Another way is to enter the Developer Options section of the Settings menu and disable/enable “Use NuPlayer (experimental)”, reboot the tablet, and try again.
However it should be noted that none of these solutions appears to be permanent and will most likely afford you a temporary fix if at all, but hopefully this is an issue that Google will be able to resolve soon, so in the meantime if you don’t need the Android 5.0 update for now, perhaps holding off on it might not be such a bad idea. In the meantime any of our readers with the Nexus 7 (2013) experiencing similar issues themselves?
