New Asus Ultrabook Spotted At The FCC

Before a particular piece of consumer electronics device were to hit the market, it will first need to go through the good graces of the FCC. Well, spotting a particular device over at the FCC is more often than not the mark that said device is set to roll out soon, and the ASUS Zenbook UX305 Ultrabook happens to have done just that. This Intel Core M Broadwell powered Ultrabook is the first Ultrabook from ASUS that will feature that very processor. It is about time, too, since the ASUS Zenbook UX305 Ultrabook was first introduced in September earlier this year, which makes it two months since then.

The ASUS Zenbook UX305 Ultrabook will sport a 13.3” display at 3,200 x 1,800 pixels resolution in addition to an Intel Core M FY10 processor, where it measures under 0.5” in terms of thickness, and tips the scales at approximately 2.6 pounds. According to the folks over at ASUS, users ought to be able to enjoy up to 10 hours of battery life, courtesy of the low-power Core M Broadwell processor, where it will be accompanied by the likes of Bang & Olufsen speakers, 802.11ac Wi-Fi HDMI, a trio of USB ports, and an SD memory card reader. Expect it to arrive with up to a 256GB SSD, and one can choose from an “obsidian stone” metal finish or a white ceramic alloy lid.

Pricing details have yet to be determined, but it should not arrive cheap by any means.
