netflixWith the iPhone 6 Plus, Apple has finally released a smartphone with a large display and a Full HD resolution, something which Apple fans have been clamoring for, especially in the face of Android devices, some of which have QHD resolutions now, but better late than never, we suppose.

That being said with its new resolution and large display, we’re sure many users are looking forward to taking advantage of it. Well the good news is that if you’re a Netflix user, you might be interested to learn that Netflix has recently issued an update for its iOS app. Updated to Netflix 7.0, the update will basically take advantage of the phone’s larger display and its resolution.

This means that Netflix viewers will be able to enjoy 1080p Full HD videos on their phones now. According to the Netflix blog, “iPhone 6 Plus users will now see Netflix movies and television shows in 1080p resolution, including Netflix originals like Orange is the New Black and House of Cards. All you need is a good WiFi connection.”

Apart from the added support for 1080p movies, Netflix also stated that the app has been updated with performance improvements as well as menu enhancements. If you have yet to update your Netflix app, just head on over to the iTunes App Store for the download.
