A couple of weeks ago Nintendo announced that they would be releasing The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask on the Nintendo 3DS. This is no doubt good news for fans of the franchise, especially considering that Majora’s Mask is a pretty old game when it first debuted on the Nintendo 64 console all those years ago.
Now given that Nintendo has two versions of the 3DS – the old version and the newer version that was announced a few months ago with slightly upgraded hardware and additional controls, will Majora’s Mask be different from the old 3DS compared to the newer one? Well as it turns out, there could potentially new features for the newer 3DS.
This was revealed by the franchise’s produce Eiji Aonuma during an interview with Famitsu. According to Aonuma, he was quoted as saying, “please wait for the opportunity to discuss how playing on the New 3DS differs at a later date.” Aonuma quickly dismissed speculation that the new features would be improved graphics, but there will be new and exclusive features that fans can look forward to nonetheless.
It remains unclear as to what we might be able to expect right now, but if you are still on the fence as to which version of the 3DS to get (due to different in price), perhaps getting your hands on the newer model might be a good idea for the long run.
