LG G3 Android 5.0 Lollipop Update Releases In South Korea This Week

LG has been among those OEMs who are working hard to bring the latest Android experience at least to their flagship devices. Soon after Google released Android 5.0 Lollipop for Nexus smartphones and tablets, LG did confirm that the G3 will receive this update in the very near future as well. Lollipop for the LG G3 is already out in Poland and next in line is the company’s home turf: South Korea.

The company has confirmed that roll out of Android 5.0 Lollipop for LG G3 will begin this week. It will be released for all units linked to the three major carriers in the country, LG U+, KT and SK Telecom to be precise.

There is a lot that’s new with Android 5.0 Lollipop. It brings a total user interface overhaul courtesy of Material Design which adds three-dimensional elements and bright colors to the overall UI. Moreover, many of Google’s own applications have also been updated to reflect these design changes. Dozens of new features are included in Android 5.0 Lollipop.

LG is gradually rolling out this update in markets where its flagship smartphone is available. So far the company has not confirmed when the update will be released for users in the U.S. Though delay on part of mobile carriers may play a role in delaying the release of Android 5.0 Lollipop for LG G3.
