Kyocera DuraForce Announced For November 7 Release On AT&T

Ah, smartphones. Just about every one of us carries one model or another, and not all smartphones are created equal – with some of them boasting of the capability to be able to go through plenty of punishment, such as the Kyocera DuraForce. Having been announced to make its way over to AT&T in a few days’ time (November 7th to be exact), this is one tough and rugged handset that is not only waterproof, it will also be able to work on AT&T’s 4G LTE network.

Expect to be able to bring home the DuraForce for nothing at $19.95 per month on a Next 12 agreement, while you also have the choice of picking it up for $389.99 as an unlocked handset. For those who prefer the middle path, so to speak, the Kyocera DuraForce will retail for $49.99 with a standard two-year agreement.

Hardware specifications of the Kyocera DuraForce include conformity to Military Standard 810G- and IP68-certified standards, making it dustproof, waterproof and being able to remain underwater for up to half an hour at a maximum depth of 6 feet (1.8 meters). It will run on Android 4.4.2 KitKat, has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 1.4GHz Quad-Core CPU, 16GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot, a 3100mAh Lithium Ion battery, and a 4.5” 720p High Definition impact-resistant touchscreen.
