iPhone 5c Could Be Discontinued
The iPhone has proven itself to be a phenomenal seller, but no company is capable of maintaining a forward momentum perpetually – it is basically an impossibility in the long run of things. Which means, Apple, despite its massive market capitalization, is still liable to make some mistakes – and the iPhone 5c might be seen as one of them. After all, the existing iPhone range right now comprises of the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 5s, and iPhone 5c, and out of the lot, the iPhone 5c can be said to be very different from the pack. First released slightly more than a year back, the iPhone 5c features polycarbonate as its material of choice, and is the most basic iPhone in the market, not to mention the most affordable. Word has it that Apple intends to cease production of the iPhone 5c from the middle of next year onward.
No one ought to be surprised by this decision, however, since the iPhone 5c is not exactly the most popular model in the market, and chances are this might mean Apple has a brand new iPhone up their sleeves some time in the second half of 2015. Would you miss the demise of the iPhone 5c, or have you been waiting for the longest time to see the day where its misery will end? Hopefully there will be a firesale before that to help get rid of the purported stock of unsold iPhone 5c units.
