As we head into the new year it is only a matter of time before the rumor mill goes into overdrive with rumors concerning successors of flagship smartphones. Some of them we expect to see at the Consumer Electronics Show 2015 in the first week of January, the largest gathering of its kind in the world. Others we expect to see around MWC, a couple of months after CES. A report out of China claims to have HTC One (M9) specifications for us, its one of the flagships that many of us liked in 2014, and are intrigued about how it evolves.
According to the report the HTC One (M9) is going to tout a 5.5-inch 2,560×1,440 pixel resolution display with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor under the hood aided by 3GB RAM. A 3,500mAh battery is expected to power the contraption.
Apart from these seemingly hefty specifications, the smartphone may also have a 16 megapixel rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization, a possible hint that HTC might be giving up on the Ultrapixel camera.
Now that Beats is owned by Apple and its audio partnership with HTC has ended the company may find another partner, apparently it might be Bose that could team up with HTC to provide a premium audio experience on this smartphone.
HTC hasn’t confirmed any of this right now so it would be best to take it with a grain of salt. We expect to hear more about this smartphone at Mobile World Congress 2015 which takes place between March 2-5 in Barcelona.
