HTC intends to simplify the life of their user base by introducing some of its system and core apps over to the Google Play Store, so that manufacturers will be able to update a specific segment of the handset without having to make the end user wait for too long a period of time. There are two-fold benefits to this – one can install the app on the handset without the need for a firmware update, and carriers have no reason to test out the update vigorously. Here we are with word that the HTC Camera app which will be accompanied by the Eye Experience update has now arrived on the Google Play Store.
With the latest version of the HTC Camera app uploaded, you can be sure that you will be able to take advantage of several new features for select HTC handsets’ rear cameras. The listing in the Google Play Store did mention that the Eye Experience features will be dependent on the kind and model of smartphone on which the app is installed on.
Have you given it a go and how did you find it so far? We have heard that the Eye Experience features that are available have been there right out of the box for the HTC Desire Eye.
