It hasn’t been long since Halo: The Master Chief Collection was launched but it didn’t go as smoothly as the developer might have wanted. Many players found it impossible to play online due to matchmaking issues. 343 Industries did confirm that it was working on a patch which would take care of these issues. Today it has formally announced that the Halo: The Master Chief Collection matchmaking patch has been released.
This particular patch brings fixes for matchmaking bugs, as well as improvements for the user interface, gameplay and issues specific to Halo 2, Halo 2: Anniversary, among others.
343 Industries assures gamers that this patch will take care of the matchmaking issues. Gamers should experience an improvement in times and success rates. The developer has also made few updates to how the matchmaking progress is communicated to the player.
It also prevents the ability for players to “kick” other players from matchmaking sessions. The custom games exploit which could be used to boost ranking has been patched. This patch will also ensure that gamers don’t get stuck on the matchmaking screen during map voting.
The entire list of bug fixes and improvements included in this patch are listed on the Halo Waypoint blog. Patch should be available for download by “mid-late afternoon Pacific Time.”
