Xbox owners who happen to be Halo fans have a lot to look forward to in the near future. There’s a new release on the horizon that brings a new feature which has never before been present on this series. 343 Industries, the developers of Halo 5: Guardians, confirmed the feature during the Halofest livestream. Since this is the first time such a feature has been added to this series it will be interesting to see how fans respond to it, and how the developer improves it down the road.
The feature in question here is spectator mode in multiplayer. 343 Industries confirmed during the Halofest livestream that for the first time in this series, Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta has a spectator mode.
If you know your gaming lingo you probably don’t need an explanation of what a spectator mode is. Basically this feature can be used to see other players battle in multiplayer while you choose to sit on the sidelines and just take in the action, rather than participate in it.
The developers did mention during the livestream that this will only be the first iteration of spectator mode in multiplayer beta on Halo 5: Guardians, they do have plans to expand the feature for release.
