For those who own the Nexus 5, Nexus 7 (2012), Nexus 7 (2013), or the Nexus 10, you can just head on over to Google’s website and download the files directly. It should be noted that for the Nexus 7 tablets, they need to be the WiFi-only version in order to use these factory images, so for those with the LTE model, you guys will need to check back later.
Now installing these factory images isn’t as simple as downloading them, plugging in your tablet and running an executable file. Instead users will need to flash the file onto their tablets. For those who are already familiar with the flashing process, we reckon this shouldn’t be too difficult for you guys.
For those who aren’t familiar with flashing, Google has posted some instructions online that should help guide you through the process. Of course before you proceed, you should probably backup your data to make sure that you have another copy in the event that something goes wrong and your phone is wiped. If you’d rather not take the risk, you can always wait for Google to start pushing the update out OTA.
